1.6 rocker info?

I need help choosing rockers. I want to go 1.6, but I dont know much acout them. My goal is to get rockers that are easy to install, give good power, and are reliable. I prefer low valve chatter, but would be willing to sacrifice that for the above attributes. I have come accross 2 popular types. CC Pro mags NSA with 918 beehive springs, and crane gold SA with Lt4 springs. I also dont want to spend a lot of money I would like to know which of these rockers would be better for my desired application. Also, what specific pushrod should I use with either of them? Thanks

Re: 1.6 rocker info?

If you ever plan on a cam or any serious RPM then you should get the NSA pro mag with the 918 springs and GM guideplates. If this is the only internal engine mod you're doing and it's just a DD, you can use the SA Crane Gold and some LT4 springs and be just fine. Should be same hp/tq gain either way, but you get what you pay for as far as quality is concerned.

Pretty much, what he said. Dont go with SA rockers inless you plan on doing NO OTHER internal engine mods.

As for pushrods, they do alot. You dont want to bend one or something stupid like that. Do it once and do it right.

But a pushrod length checker. And go in increments of .05. Start at 7.20 and go up a few and down a few and see what gives you the best pattern. I can vouch for Comp Hi Tech pushrods ... Very heavy duty/high qualtiy. Around $110 for them I think?
