AIR pump removal ???'s
I did a search on removing the AIR pump and really couldn't find the clear cut answers I need right now.
1. I have a '94 Trans Am, by removing the entire AIR pump assembly is it gonna set off and SES light?
2. What is the best way to get the metal tube that connect the AIR pump to the manifolds? And will it hurt anything to remove it?

Re: AIR pump removal ???'s
No SES light or code on an OBD-I 93-95, as long as you have a good fuse in the AIR pump circuit.
Most people cut the pipe to the passenger side in the middle, right under the timing cover.

The advantage is it cleans everything up alittle better and theres no hoses running all over the place. Maybe if your hardcore, its alittle weight reduction.
It affects emissions by not pumping fresh air into the cat causing it not to warm up as fast and a cat is most efficent when warm, cold they don't work as well.
