Air Pump question...

The 4th Gens switched to a cat that does not require a seperate air feed to oxidize the HC's and CO. So, they changed the way the AIR pump operated, making it electric, and piping it ONLY to the exhaust manifolds, to heat up the cats on startup.
K, thx injuneer. It all makes sense now. I didn't know there were 2 sections. I'll let him know that. I guess he will have to keep it untill he smogs his car then it can go since he is gonna remove his cats.
