sorry I forgot to ask would it also be ok maybe if I took off the air filter and put it back down there and not clamp the box shut so it would just have half the box in there???

well it will help a stock air box..but I think its more for a cold air induction kit..the filter on the CAI is right in that place and I could see the advantage of doing it..I wanted to do this for some time..looks simple enough..just havnt had the time..anyone???

yeah I could see it helping alot for the kit. that was my plan so when I got the kit I would already have it moded, so I would just pop it in. just wanted info if it was ok to use just the left side of the box with no air filter or use the whole thing and cut out the bottom of the box but nobody seems to know

one of the free mods out there involves cutting the bottom of the stock airbox out...personally I would jus tmake my own PVC CAI for $60.

Hey guys I use my Z as a daily driver has anyone seen any issues with water from rain or whatever going up the ram air scoop and causing problems. My GSXR with the K&N filters hated the rain it ran like **** when it rained.
