what does it do? I am talking about the black piece of plastic that is under the front of the car. Mine is half ripped off, and I heard they are important, so should I get a new one. If so, how much are they?

 

It directs air up into the radiator. In cooler weather it won't seem too bad but when it warms up the motor is gonna run alot hotter. They aren't real expensive so I'd replace it very soon. I think it was $20-30. Good luck, the bolts on mine were a SOB.

 

Thats why mine is hanging off, I busted three of the bolts and then gave up. I am gonna put some heat on the nuts and see if that helps get the other ones off.

 

Your car will overheat no matter the weather. You NEED your airdam.

 

Try liquid wrench or PB Blaster and let it soak awhile, then try them. You NEED this part to keep the car running below 260. Check out a salvage yard, shoudn't be much more than $40. Air damns aren't that expensive.
