My airbag light has been on for some time now and I was wondering if anyone knows of any way to find out why? also ive put some thought into taking out the whole airbag system out id like to know if anyone has done this and what kind of possible work im looking at?

 

A code scanner can tell you why the light is coming on. It will take some work to find out the problem. Removing any part of the system will make your ABS light come on permanently unless you cut the wire to the light. If you just want to deactivate the system, simply remove the fuse. Remember that some states like here in VA, require the system to work to pass inspection.
