Im almost done putting the totaled car i bought back together... On the AIR pump there is 2 rubber hoses coming out of it. One goes up and plugs into the metal lines on the drivers side exhaust set-up. Where does the other line go ? lol i no its a stupid sounding ? , but i looked , my cousin who is a mechanic looked (breifly) and couldnt find it. Then we went back to our days werk of trying to get a used flowmaster from a TA onto my Z ... it thoroughly kicked my *** since it was used some of the flanges were cracked/messed up ... had to pound em in place then JB-Weld Cracks ... its all good tho

 

Did you plug in the rubber line that goes to the CAI/Air box directly above the AIR pump?

 

thats what your talking about. Look at the intake it has a spot for it.

 

That would explain why i couldnt find it... I dont have the airbox ... it was smashed in the wreck, and all the old smashed parts were off it by the time i bought it , thanks guys, guess ill wait till i get the new air box to hook it up then ... inless a cai is closely priced to the stock filter box n stuff

 

Dont waste your time with a stock air box. Do it right and get a CAI. All are the same but the cheapest I know of is the LPE CAI. Its around $150 I think.

 

Yea i was looking online and found them at LPE for 160 ... says a 12 rwhp gain , so i guess itll gimme at least 5 ? lol

Not that i have a negative look on things , i jsut cant see that helping THAT much on a otherwise stock engine , and they calim it was tested on a stock engine as well ...
