Track opens the 19th and as long as the miss is fixed I plan on being there.

Ignition box fixed most of it. Hopefully plugs will fix the rest.

You guys would crap your pants if you saw my buddies old LE1 heads. One head was gasket matched the other wasn't and they were 96-97 heads so the ports where very obvious. Man and the guides where so hacked up. I remember the first time I saw his car with the intake off and was like WTF? We still laugh about it today.

And how did yours look by comparison? Did he comment on your Ai heads?

(Side Note - Ever get the problems sorted out?)

Mine were surgical clean and were works of art. Whenever my intake came off all I heard about was how beautiful they were.

I don't know if my problems are sorted out or not. I ended up yanking it all apart to put a different cam in and found that 9 of my Comp R's where cracked. I put a smaller midrange BRE cam and haven't ever hit the track or the dyno ever again. I quit working on the car, now I just cruise around and enjoy the torque.

I didn't have problems with my ports on my heads nor my valve guides. My ports were very very nice.

not the best pictures but its all I got. I last seen the heads a year and a half ago. I wish I didn't sell them.
My car ran great though I had problems with everything BUT the heads, cam, and intake. As for you guys bashing Lloyd's port work, have you ever ported a set of heads? Sometimes I think your sole purpose in any LE thread is to bash him and/or Bret and you try and turn every AI thread into an AI vs Lloyd thread. Someone really needs to do an engine dyno comparison of both heads and cam packages so everyone can shut the hell up. I know Lloyd has offered to do it several times.

I thought about that after I posted it. have someone order a set from both companies under an alias or something.

Hmm... I have LE heads from back before they were stages and I had no problems (5.5 years ago). Sounds like your buddy may have bought a used set of "supposed" LE heads. Think about... what good does it do LLoyd to take money for ported heads and then port one head.

Here are my 5 yr old LE LT1 castings:

Here are my LE ported AFR210's from 3 years ago:

Nah he sent them to Lloyd himself. He bought a set of heads from a guy that had one get destroyed. He then sent Lloyd the one good ported head which was gasket matched to have it looked over and checked out. He then sent one stock head to have ported to match it. The stock head came back ported but not gasket matched.
