In Phil's original post, he said that the car had 4.30 gears and a 4200 stall. Not sure where the 4800/4.56 came from... ?

To clarify:
I didn't say everyone in the "Fastest NA LT1 F-body list" had racecars. I just said that no one was running an OEM LT1 Intake Manifold/LT1 heads and there were quite a few racecars in that group. I didn't point fingers as to who's car was a full-blown racecar and who's wasn't.

Some of you guys are hilarious. Just because I said the car was a OEM LT1 heads/intake car, you think that classifies it as a micro-group?

Hey, teacher...leave them kids alone.

Tim has ported LT4 heads, to my knowledge Chuck doesn't use LT1 heads, and Jordon used ported AFR 210 heads. They are all fast, but the thread was about going fast on LT1 heads and an LT1 intake. Why does everyone keep deviating from that? Just give the man props for accomplishing something that wasn't done before.

I can't wait to see the drama unfold when he goes 9s. Jesus.

And why did I get thrown up in a list with a group of serious race cars?

On another note, my car is also running quicker now than it was when your list was made but I'm done giving out the details.

Now, I WOULD like to know how you know so much about the car where as none of us can really get a detailed response on the build... how radical the cam is, etc.

Let me answer one question at a time:

Upset? Joe Overton is still taking pot shots at Ai.

You got thrown into a "group" when you posted your time and the person who compiled that list in the "Drag Racing" section added your name. (Do a search for "fastest LT1" in that section)

The list wasn't created, nor previously distributed by me.

I know about the car because I spoke to Phil personally about it. Besides that, he already posted all the information about it previously.

Congrats to AI. When I eventually end up doing a rebuild, Jeff Creech and Ron/Phil are among those I will be dealing with. Both are very straight shooters and are among the best anywhere at what they do.

Heh, I'm not upset.... If AI gets 9's out that car I'm all for it...It is a Lt1 atleast... And I never said AI's heads were not a good product... In fact having seen both AI and LE ,I'll go on record to say you get what you pay for..... I won't relish more than that... Only thing that got my interest at all was the "what is and isn't a Lt1?" I still think that is B/s,but oh well >>>Sometimes I speak my mind only because nobody can take up for you,but yourself when you get to a certain point...If that makes any sense I have opinions just like anybody else...Just because you move up or begin to aquire a status doesn't mean you have to be so political ..I am who I was when I started,I spoke my mind then too...If I'm taken to directly or my words seem to harsh, I apologize to AI and everyone whom read or reads this thread!!!!

Wow!!! what a thread. sorry to dig it up...but a customer let me know about it, and I figured I would throw my .02 in (even though I am sure they don't matter)

competition is such a beautiful thing...it helps the customer receive a better product in the end. Cockiness though almost always leads to defeat. there is a world out their other than what is on the internet. 640 Hp out of factory castings is not a big deal...infact, any decent engine builder in the world can make the feet in short time. The CNC programs have been stored for YEARS!

And I would recommend you to probably stay away from any NHRA S S/S rides that you may run across. I know they are not "relative to the post", even though a fair amount of guys tag their cars and drive them. Even though the fat cars still have full interior. I guess they don't count, because they are actually fast enough to race, And they do so by a documented rulebook.
