That's VERY impressive. Looks to have a great powerband also. Just awesome.

Awsome numbers. That thing is going to be a hand full on the street and the track. I'm glad to see a 355 make those numbers. I was shooting for 450rwhp for my 355... I went with more cam and bigger heads to help. I hope I can make numbers like yours did!

I guess the myth that LT1 intake is a restriction is over. No need for 1000+ carb style intake conversion for 450+RWHP potential, then.

well i'll be damn, i wasen't guessing that high, but close. GREAT numbers and congrats. tell jeff to call jason when you go to dyno it. if it falls on a weekend or late in a afternoon i would like to make the drive out to catch up with jeff and take a ride in her if you dont mind. HEY Phill i know you will stop by and read this, if your intrested we had to move the fishing trip up to nov 11th. we still have 1 to 2 openings on the boat. if your intrested still, hit me up on my cell. and again BIG CONGRATS on those numbers , me , myself i would be sleeping in the car on jeffs door step, then to the track we go lol.

Thanks, Phil (like last time) had alot of tips that helped. Nit picking the details during planning and excecution makes all the differance. I had everything machined exactly like he said & it all came together pretty well.

No, it's 12:1.

Thanks man, I think it might do it without any tricks if I had a 10-bolt with normal gearing and no vac at WOT. Right now it's pulling 5-6kpa up over 5k or so. I still have some work to do to figure that out. I'm really happy though, Phil said 450rwhp bare minimum and 465-480 if things were 'right'. I never read about similar numbers with similar cams etc. on here so I was a little skeptical, but he didn't let me down the first time so I didn't see the point of doubting him. Then it went over 450 off the bat. LOL!

How often do you need to check & Adj Rockers?

The only maintance I know of is periodic valve adjustments. AI said it would need to be re-adjusted soon after the inital firing and a few heat cycles (break in) then reset and check every 100-150 mi or untill you stop being paranoid. You will notice that they will stop moving arround after 500 mi or so and should stay set for awhile after that. Phil said it should probably need adjustment every 3-6k mi (or oil change intervals). Checking and adjusting valvles is very veasy, and worth the extra 25-35 min. of service when the car's in anyway. Kinda like enduring a 'You know what my cat did' story from a super hot chick... it's well worth the time. If I did it again I would run the Jesel shaftmounts they wanted me to, but I already had the pro-mags and a girdle was cheap for now. Supposedly the shafts will retain lash longer too, makes sense.

Jerm, LOL its F-ing crazy. I think that with Jeff fixing the A/F down low it may go over 400rwtq by around 3500rpm, which is pretty funny to me. Driving it around it just rips right up to the limiter like I'm in neutral, only it's in gear and all grip with the Hoosiers. Guess I have to stick to the highways on my street tires.

Thanks! I just read the thread where you mentioned your cam. I can't imagine what this would be like with another 20deg of cam and the powerband shifted up that high. I bought a F.A.S.T. system for my long-term turbo-motor project I am trying to work on this winter and I may go ahead and get it into the car early. The cam is supposed to peak at 6800-7000, but Phil says it wont be down much at 7500 and can safely turn 7700 if I want. May also help to tune it while we run it at the track, but I dont know if I can make it before they close for the winter.

I'll take it to CAM to get tuned LOL

My car is quick but I'll be damned if it's 160 rwhp quicker than my cam only setup.
Why wonder if it can be done, go to the shop that KNOWS it can be done.

I'm not making any plans to change anything at the time being.

I haven't even gotten a chance to get some #'s out of this thing yet!

Damn tranny

Thanks, RealQuick won. He had the highest guess initally and at the end. The winning guess was 448, but his initial guess of 475 was much closer.

Well here's my question: How's the driveability??? Just an overall rundown would be nice. I've got a car that's starting to get old and will need a motor in the next year or so probably (the purple T/A) and am starting to explore options.

This was not to be offensive or insulting, but from a customer's point of view, research is the key and finding the places that are getting the results you are looking for is the best way to meet the goals you have set forth for your project.

Agreed.

I've once again gotten ahead of myself, as I don't have any factual results for my setup yet. So I'll sit back and shut up now.
