AI 190 vs LE2 head package
I am in the process of building a 97 lt1. I was planning on doing the le2 kit (http://www.eportworks.com/LT1LE2.htm), but came across Advanced inductions site.http://www.advancedinduction.com/AiProductsLT1.html There is a bit of a price difference, But wouldn't the car be faster and have better every day manners with a head that has 190cc ports that flow just as good as the le2 205cc ports?
I am looking for some track times (please include MPH, and etimated raceweight), and dyno numbers/graphs.
I am looking to run in the 11s @ 115-120 N/A. Will I be able to achieve my goals in a full weight 6 speed car with the right supporting mods?

If your looking for a street/strip car that will dip into the 11s then i think a stout 383 bottom end with either companie's heads and their recommended cam will get you there. Of course there are some supporting mods you will need.

I was able to do that with my old 190cc head and HR cam package.

Unfortunately I was using the old Comp type-R's for lifters before everyone knew they where junk. That definately kept the car from going faster.
I just got the 200cc head and a cam from AI and I am putting miles on before dyno day, so there are no results yet, but the car sounds sick. Driving and street manners are dictated by: cam selection, A4 or M6, gear ratio, weight, and intended use. I went with a mild SR because I didn't want to have to deal with garbage hydraulic lifters again. I have heard the morel hydrauliic lifters are good, but I also heard the same thing about the type-R so I wasn't taking any chances. It's a moot point any way the car drives like a dream, no regrets here. I would call AI and discuss your project goals. Phil is alot smarter than I am, and will surely give you better info.
Every time I skimped out on the car it came back to haunt me. A couple a hundred bucks (+/-) here can either save you or cost you thousands after it's together and running. I learned my lesson. I don't gamble any more.
On a finer point, don't get cought up in gimick BS parts (Air foil, MAF, etc..) they can put a large and unnessisary dent in the cars budget.

You are right, I retract my previous statement.
DSG Cobra- This (if you didn't know) is a sensative topic, so it would be best to visit each web site and do an extensive search. It will probably take you a few hours, but alot of your questions have been discussed. I must warn you though, there where some FLAAAAAAME wars in some of those old threads.

I think so, but I am not an expert (probably has something to do with air speed). It's best to talk to the above mentioned companies, do a search, and use your best judgement.

Im still working out some issues, but with a miss up top from 5500 to 6800 I ran a 12.6 with a 1.9 60'. Not too shabby, but everytime the miss started, the car felt like it wanted to fall on its face... and then on the 6th run my 10 bolt went on vacation. Im currently in the process of installing new gears, and hopefully I'll be able to make it out again to the track this year to run some 11's, but with this weather this is wishful thinking.
I researched both companies for over a year before I spent a single dollar. Talk to both of them, leave all the BS out, and you'll be going fast real quick! Good luck...

Be prepared to read through 10-15 page pissing matches. I think you'd be happy either way. It all comes down to attention to detail. If you put the time in, you'll probably see similar results from both vendors.

Ive done searches on a few sites, and I have seen some of the debates and opinions. Alot of threads just have AI or LE2, so the search just dont work. I have seen some good numbers and some pretty dissapointing numbers out of some peoples cars (driver, track conditons, and proper combination are major factors)
I see some cars with 42 lb injectors. I feel that they may be a little large for a N/A 400 rwhp car, what do you think.
