AHHH....def gonna have to learn how to work on my money pit...

-bought it for 11,800
-spent roughly 800 on oil leaks
-75 on throttle body/butterfly
-a few other minor things...

then the other day...i had this problem...

"i put the clutch in and turned the key and the lights in the dash lit up and my radio turned on but you couldnt hear a click, it wasnt trying to turn over....and so i took the key out and tried it again...same thing...i sat there for liek 2 mins and put it in and it fired up....

later on, i tried starting it after gettin home from a football game....this time i cranked it like 10 times and nothin...and then i start jammin the clutch in and turnin the key at the same time and i could hear it try to turn over...and finally after about 10 tries it started up...also i must have blown the cd player fuse, because it wouldnt turn on....

any ideas? getting fuel pressure, brand new battery maybe a month old, the old one was leakin acid...with the old leaky battery, in the cold, the car wouldnt start, you could hear it clickin but it wouuld never start until it was jumped...also, the low coolant light came on last sunday...but hasn't returned"

that ended up being a total of $242.47...

clutch switch - $22.68
pinion seal - $19.62
Pint of great $6.25

1.3 hrs R&R clutch pedal posisitioning switch - $80.60
1.5 hrs R&R pinion shaft seal - $93

so if i knew what i was doin...i could have done it all for under $50...but yea...it blows having to pay tax and labor and all that bullsh*t....o well tho...

Could be your starter with a flat spot in it. Oh and do your own plugs, just take off the exhaust manifolds to get at them.

You don,t need to remove the manifolds..........geesh.
Its not easy trust me but removing the manifolds????? might as well put headers on if your going that far.
Changing plugs and wires is not any different than other cars, wires go on distributor and then onto plugs but the hard part is getting your hands in there.
Removing the alternator helps as does the starter but I changed plugs and wires without removing any of that stuff, took me 2 days the first time but I did it.
