Could be fuel or ignition. Need to see if you have fuel pressure and spark.

Maybe your ICM got SUPER heatsoaked from the high heat conditions.

It's super cheap, you may want to start there.. That is my shot in the
dark without speaking with you, and knowing your car.

with my experience with elctric fuel pumps, you might be able to have someone bang on the gas tank while you are cranking it over and it might start. I have used this method to identify a bad fuel pump on some saturns and misc. other cars

The only way to determine a fuel pressure issue is to put a pressure test gauge on it. That eliminates all the guessing.

Pressure guage, do Key on Engine off, see how it looks 40-45 psi, if its able to be driven, try putting it under load and see if it drops.

Re: AHHH. Car died in rush hour! Is it my fuel pump?

Just an update. It was the fuel pump. No warning what so ever... just dead. Only 65,000 miles on the car, never driven hard and never raced. Replaced it with a granatelli direct fit and am very happy with it. The guy I had do it said it dropped right in. Perfect fit. He replaced it the right way... dropped the tank, exhaust, suspension, etc and did a very fine job. This coming from a critic. His shop is near St. Louis and I highly recommend him for any f-body work needed. 2 guys run the shop and do great business... check them out, www.redline-fbody.com
