AHH can't decide!!!
AHH can't decide!!!
okay, ive narrowed it down to two cars...here they are
1)1995 z28, 128,000 miles, 6 speed, runs great, firm clutch, traction control feature, cold air intake, and flowmaster muffler, no power accesories other than pw, and pdl. Interior very worn out...will need seat covers soon, no radio...just a hole in the dash with wires, black paint starting to fade, wheels are ugly as hell alluminum jobs...blahhh....can get it for $5,000
2)1993 z28, 146,000 miles, 6 speed, blue smoke for about 5 sec on start up, will need new clutch soon, very nice red paint, and full power interior in almost mint condition, cd player. Very clean, nice car, but the high miles and worn out clutch are getting to me, can get for $5,300.
The 95 is faster, very quick car...its actually faster than a 1994 z28 with 33,000 miles that i drove, but the 1994 is out of my price range...what do you guys think?...im leaning toward the '95...help me!!

ive been looking for a while now, and driven lots of cars, but ive decided it has to be a 6 speed, and there are only 4 that i have found around me that are z28 6 speeds in my price range...why do you say i should keep looking?, do neither sound like good cars?
If you have to have one of the two I would go with the 95. The blue smoke from the 93 would turn me away....if I remember right it means it is burning oil....which it would probably need a rebuild soon then. Either car will need tons of work, so get the one you want.
the blue some means that the piston rings are no longer sealing very well, and on start up before the ring can expand and seal, there is oil blowby and it is burned...all this means, loss of power, and soon to be rebuild...the 95 isnt too bad, no tears or anything, just worse than the 93, and i figure ide replace the radio with a new headunit anyway...i dunno, i think ive decided on the 95, just looking for outside opinions
id go with the '95. even if itll need an interior, wheels, seat covers, etc. you can still have fun in it while you get those parts, OTOH a rebuild will leave you without the car for however long it takes you. and '95 has vented optispark. less miles too. already has exhaust. get the 95
Only thing that bothers me about the 95 is the paint fading. the stereo missing just means someone took their aftermarket unit before trading it in.
The interior well they get beat up pretty fast. I know. But its not that expensive to replace. Rebuilding an engine is.
out of the 2 though definently the 95.
And the wheels are an easy fix. Hell my chrome salad shooters will be for sale soon
And good luck no matter the decision

keep looking man.... just be patient and the right car will come along. I just got a 94 Formula STOCK with a bunch of new parts (opti,clutch,brakes,tires,waterpump...etc) 123K for $4500. Its got 2 little holes in the drivers seat...and the pass side power door lock switch needs replaced. hell, the steering wheel stereo controls even work. like i said just keep looking, there are some motivated sellers out there, and you dont want to buy a total POS right off the bat
here ya go
