Aftermarket plugs,wires.etc

Some say aftermarket products are not as god because they were not made for the car. An example is spark plugs and wires. I am soon going to change these so should i change them to aftermarket or stock ones for a low modded Z. Thanks for your help and I only ask this cuz I hear putting ones in that werent made for the car could negatively affect it.

For a near stock engine the GM wires work great. Not sure of the cost of GM wires, but for around $70 you can get a set of Accel 9000 wires that stand up better to heat and may be cheaper than GM wires.
