Aftermarket Dipstick?

Was changeing my oil the other day, go to pull the dipstick and...something didnt look right. The botom of the dipstick broke and it took me like 10 mins getting that part of off the tube

So what dipstick will work for an LT1? I guess i could always buy the 40 dollar one from GM

I have one from Lokar. It's pretty nice and has a flexible dipstick tube.
If you just need the dipstick, I bought one from a Chevy dealer a few years back for ~$12.

Which Lokar stick did you guys get? The one I got doesn't reach past the headers.

I'm using the Lokar and hate it with a passion. Looks nice though.

Re: Aftermarket Dipstick?

I have the Lokar too.
Upside: looks cool, works with headers
Downside: it gets hot, difficult to replace sometimes

Re: Aftermarket Dipstick?

I have the Lokar. My main beef with it is that since it's designed to sit down low and close to the side of the head, I ran into a clearance issue with the billet wire looms I'm running. It got in the way of me being able to mount the wire looms with the bracketry they came supplied with. I had to order a custom set of longer double-ended studs and used spacers to raise the wire looms up higher so they wouldn't run into the handle of the dipstick. The only thing that sucks at this point is that anytime I want to check my oil, I have to unbolt the wire loom and move it to pull the dipstick out. Other than that it's a nice piece.
