i just got done installing opti water pump wires and plugs. i was having problems keeping battery connection. that problem seems to be solved. however my car cranks over very slowly then fires up. after that i have no problems. i already know i have a weaker alternator. i am thinking that it is probably just the starter going but wondering what anyone else thinks. thanks

 

Startup woudln't be an alternator problem - either starter or battery. Make sure it's fully charged, but sounds more like a starter prob.
