After much searching, i still need info on pulling a motor out the top

well i got michiganspeeds write up on doing it out the bottom, definitely seems easier but at this point garage space is limited and i need to do it out the top, just the motor, no tranny included. ill end up putting it back in from the bottom more than likely as ill have the heads, intake manifold... etc. back on the block. bolts, diagrams, etc, any helpful info is appreciated. i cant find any write ups so if you guys have one lemme kno. thanks.

The Haynes manual explains how to pull the motor through the hood. It's do-able, as I've done it, but didn't have the Haynes manual at the time. Just don't use the Haynes how-to on valve adjustment.

I ended up tearing it down to just the block and took it out the top. Also had to remove both motor mounts to get it to move forward away from the tranny. Left the hood on the car. Took my time and it came right out.
