After market transmission pan?

After market transmission pan?
I was wondering how far they hang down and how much they actually lower the temperature of the transmission fluid.
I've seen a 3 quart extra B&M pan and a 2 quart extra jet pan in the catalogues.
Any input or opinions are appreciated
