After Market Oil Cooler Question
I jsut got an aftermarket oil cooler for my Z. The stock one was crushed in a wreck before i bought the car. The new cooler seems to be different than how the stock one works. On a previous thread everyone was saying how the stock one sucks because the rad lines oging into it cant really cool it that much. This one doesnt use the coolant lines to cool the oil. Just air cooled. It came with the hoses i need to go from the bottom by the filter up to the cooler, but how do I eliminate the extra lines that the stock one uses from the Rad? I no this sounds like a retarded ? , but i bought the car wrecked adn really donno what lines go where yet , i just knew that the oil cooler also had anti lines goin in it too , and this one doesnt, so how do i bypass it? I searched and really didnt find anything.
With the stock oil cooler, one line connects to the radiator and the other to the water pump. When you delete these, there is a radiator hose that connects those two fittings together. I don't have the part #, but a dealer should be able to fix you up.
