AFR heads question
AFR heads question
Found these heads on Ebay and wanted to know if they work with the LT1 or if you need the Lt4 manifold and anything else? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...3AIT&viewitem=
Here is the website he talks about with the part number he says.

Looks like you will need the LT4 intake with those. Theres a pretty decent priced one on the for sale section. https://www.camaroz28.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=658043
Correct, you definitely need an LT4 manifold. It will also need some port work to match up to the heads perfectly. I have those on my car.
Also, It's hard to tell exactly from those pictures, but they may be the old style AFR heads, not the new "Eliminator" heads (AFR's website lists specs for the new ones which just came out last year). The old ones flowed a bit less and also were known for having some oil drainback issues.
I'd recommend asking the guy specifically when he bought them. 1057 eliminators run right around $2K new. The older ones are worth a bit less. Unfortunately both lines use the same part numbers.
