AFR Flow #s are in

I finaly got the flow sheet for my More performance AFR 195s and was alittle disapointed but over all they are close to what I thought they should be. The heads have Ferrera 2.050 Intake and 1.600 exhaust valves and where CNCed by More. I thought they would be up 6-8 across the board but it I only got a 3-4 cfm increase over the AFR comp port claimed flow #s. I still think the 195s will provide some great low end TQ and I should make close to the 425 RWHP I was hoping for when i started this whole thing. I should be able to drop the motor in after I get back from vaction in a week and then it is off to get dyno tuned and we will see.

did you have them flowed before the cnc porting? I would like to see how much they really got improved. Becaue compared to the claimed numbers, it seems like a waste of money.

Re: AFR Flow #s are in

I defenatly did not get ripped off. More charged me the same price as the normal AFR comp ported heads. If you have a set of LT1 heads flowing the same as these then you have one hell of a set of ported LT1 cast heads (8 CFM across the board is huge). I was expecting a little moe because of the larger valves and new seats but I wanted to keep the low end TQ of the smaller heads. If I was only looking for high flow #s I would have just went with 220's but I was looking for #s across the board that would help me make my power at lower RPMs rather then 6-7K

Those are good numbers for a full port job on an AFR 195cc head. They should work well.

Re: AFR Flow #s are in

i am not taking anything from the flow #'s those are great. my point was the amount of money you spent to get them was high. what is the rest of your combo to think your at 425 rwhp?
