I have Slp mid headers mounted on LT4 AFR heads. they burn my #5 plug wire boot. I am changing to long tube headers any comments on what will work best with these angle plug heads.

 

I have the 190s and LT hookers. What I did was rout them from the top and use the mesh pullover socks on them, I havent had a burnt one yet. I had this set-up on my 93 for 4 years and I have had this on my 97 for about 4 months now without a hitch.

 

Great mine is a 1995 so it should work I tried the mesh with the SLP's but they still burnt because it actually touches the header
