AFR 220's on a n/a 396?
Ok, I am on a rush to get the car back toghter. I am getting a set of stock heads flowed right now and was thinking about going with them, if they were good enough. If i want a set of afr 210's that would take two months. I know a guy here in town that just got a brand new set of afr 220;s with the race port that he was going to use on his blow 398. If I would buy those from him, would that be too much on my n/a moter. He was planning on running a lot of boost, as in I am not. I think I might be able to come up with the money, if it would be worth it. THanks for the info.
a buddy ran a set of those fully ported (330s i think at .650) on his NA 396.
heres the full specs and dyno numbers.

Would have been higher HP but the ecm cut out at the 7k limit, hp numbers were still climbing. Since he added DFI, but hasnt dynoed since. Engine made over 400ft/lbs for most of the pull

My buddy has 220 AFR's on his 396. He just got it built so there's no dyno numbers yet. He's searching for 11's NA in his 4400# Impala SS. It's driven on the street with a 3200 stall and 3.73's.
Race Prep ported them to over 340 CFM while keeping the intake port on the smaller side for velocity. They could have opened them up even more but the LT4 intake would not keep up and eventually would choke it. These guys are great porters that have worked for known builders in the industry. They graduated from S.A.M. and now run their own business. If you want the most out of AFR's, give them a call. They will be more than happy to talk to you. Ask for Bryan, he's the head porter.
