AFPR issues

I have the adjustment screw turned all the way out on my AFPR but the pressure is still at 40psi with the hose on 45 off. Is the AFPR dead? I have a stock unit I can put back on if need be. Not sure on the manufacturer - bought it off of a buddy of mine.

Re: AFPR issues

Does it adjust when you screw in the adjustment nut? I'm running a TPIS AFPR and have mine set at 60 psi with the vacuum line off (new injectors coming to fix that issue ).

Re: AFPR issues

Ahh, good question - I didn't try screwing it in to see if the pressure went up.

Your return line might be pinched somewhere.

Re: AFPR issues

I have a Racetronix fuel pump kit with install harness - would this pump be causing me a problem with higher fuel pressure?

Does it sound like the regulator is toast?

Re: AFPR issues

If you can't control pressure with a higher volume pump then something is restricting the return. The factory regulator and plumbing are sufficient for an intank 255lph pump. I suugest tracing the return line back from the regulator to the tank to see if you can find a kink in the line. It is possible that there is something lodged inside the regulator, but unlikely. There aren't many parts to go bad inside of one. They usually work, or leak.
