Re: AF what should it be???
14 to 1 is lean. But its not so lean that its going to hurt anything. Dont be afraid to drive the car. Just get it tuned.
As everyone else has said, peak power seems to vary from car to car, but generally its between 12.5 and 13:1 on a NA motor. I think the variations between everyone on here who is NA that is making peak power at different AF ratios is because of the condition of the car. Engine condition and spark system condition probably play a big role in it.
Peak power should be closer to 13:1.
And I would bet that most of the people at 12:1 making peak power likely would show a weaker spark, on average, compared to the guys who are doing it at 13:1 Cause if you dont have as strong of a spark, a little more fuel is easier to ignite.
I'm just reaching out on a limb with that one though. But at anyrate, it should be around 13 to 1. High 12's maybe.

NA LT1's typically make best power in the high end of the 12:1 range. You ARE way to lean at 14.2:1. Are you sure that's your real AF ratio? Is this measured with a wideband sensor that is correctly calibrated? If so, the tune is really fecked up and should avoid running at WOT or you may break or melt stuff big time.

my conclusions after speaking with bryan and a few other people are that the dyno guys are retarded (and my readings were inaccurate)
They hooked up my stuff really strange (i even pointed it out when i was at the dyno, but they said i was wrong...........turns out i was right) so i wont be going there anymore.
Im going to head to Thunder this summer and have them dyno it and tune it because i will have a few more things come summer.
But at least i know what to look for now.
