advise on a mcleod clutch?
ive found a used mcleod dual friction clutch with 15,000 miles on it...how long do these normally last?...how much are replacement discs?, can the pressure plate be resurfaced and reused, or will it need replaceing?...also, what are the driving characteristics of this clutch?

it is a "grabby" clutch, pedal feel is still good, flywheels can be machined, clutch linings replaced, pressure plate checked and you are off and running.
well life expectancy is all in how the clutch was used or should i say abused. refurb may run you around 400, don't quote me i am trying to remeber what i paid 2.5 years ago. call mcleod and ask for Les. no not a cheap clutch but the best imo. i have over 100 passes and a few thousand miles on the clutch now and it is still rock solid. i even sent it back to mcleod to have checked and cleaned up and returned to me. Les said it was it awesome shape! it is th eonly clutch i trust!
g'luck!
