Advice for the Track
I am going to the track for the first time ever (to race my car) and was wondering what i can do to tune up my car. I am leaving about noon, and going to tune my car up in the morning with my friend, so what can i do.
I just have the simple mods, cold air intake, flowmaster exhaust, tb bypass, K&M trans shift improver...

best things you can do would be to remove all excess weight......like rear seats, pass. seat, spare tire and jack....and any junk you may have in the car that would weigh it down. You can take some ice along with you to cool down the intake between runs. Just check over everything, fluids and what not and make sure its in good order. There really isnt much you could do though in such a short amount of time. You could change your fuel filter and do a oil change and clean your air filter, but I wouldnt try doing spark plugs cause you might run into problems and then you wouldnt be able to go at all.
You don't need "race fuel" with a few simple bolt-ons... just make sure you are running 93-octane premium. Going to race gas would not increase power or slow you down.
Well, you might run a little faster because your wallet will be a little lighter......
If this is your first time at the track, don't worry about a lot of extraneous activities. Make a few passes to get a feel for the best way to launch your car.... tire pressures, heat up. Then start to worry about improving it.
