Question advice on set of heads

for a 96 trans am what would be a good set of heads? or should i just put RR and lifters and springs? what kind of cam would be the beast? and also would there be a big difference in a bigger cc set of heads or would it be good to just put new stuff on my stock heads? and what would the difference be between doing one or the other?

grab a six pack of your favorite drink, a bag of chips, and start reading after plugging the information into the search feature on this site.

there is no clear cut agreeable answer.

As stated above, search is your friend....... First thing is, what are your goals(HP/TORQUE) for the engine?????? Then go from there......

also do you have to pull the motor out to put on a new set of heads or can you do it with the motor in the car? becaus it would be easier for me to just build up the stock heads rather than pulling out the whole motor. if i built the heads up would they be able to handle a 150 shot of nx? im lookin for about 380-450 horsepower ands about the same in torque. any suggestions on a good setup for my motor?

There are plenty of heads/cam packages out there. You can replace the heads without taking the motor out of the car. It's becomes a dirty job inside the car but it is possible. You don't want to put a 150hp shot of juice on a heads/cam car. You are on borrowed time if you do and will likely damage the bottom end if it is stock and has some mileage on it.

ok. well do you think a smaller shot like 75-100 would be ok? and would just putting rr and springs and lifters be good or just buy a whole new set of heads?

1.6 rockers w/ springs and a 100 shot seems doable.
