Advanced Induction 383 Dyno Tune - Results Inside

Well, I finally got around to getting this turd dyno'd a year after I had the motor built. Bryan from PCMforless.com was in the area at JDs Auto and Performance and did the tuning. Ended up with 455whp/445tq through a loose converter, auto and a Ford 9". I'm very pleased with the results.

Real nice numbers! But what is up with the big dip at 4500 ? I don't look at many dyno graphs, so if this is normal, I'm sorry.

That's where it down-shifted. It's an auto.

You lost 50hp when it went to downshift!

Very nice numbers, I would be proud of them that is for sure. I want some ported heads now

The cam is an AI custom billet grind...237/242, .600" on a 108 lobe, and the heads are 200cc CNC ported stock castings.

Ah, 108 lobe. gotcha! LE likes those lobes as well doesnt he? hyd. roller correct?

What did the heads flow? Thanks for the dyno graph. She made great power!

Is the graph all screwed up cause of the converter? It's up, then down, then back up.

I will be starting up my 421 cid in June prob, and I want with a similar cam, and similar size heads (AFR's) then you, and almost 40 more cubes.

I guess the question I have is how does it rev to over 7000 rpm's?

Yeah, the converter makes the graph all funny-like. Typical autos.

I'm not sure about LE stuff - I've had too much success with AI.

AI has a flow sheet on their webpage, but around 290+cfm if I remember right.

421ci? How are you planning on doing that with an LT1?

Bryan actually stopped the pull around 7k...he said the converter had something to do with the RPMs extending past 7k. I don't really know how to explain it, but it made sense at the time.

It's not a LTx. I hate the opti ****. Its a SBC1 with a miniram.

Was this a dynojet or a mustang dyno or which? It's nice that Bryan was there to assist you.

I am expecting slighty higher numbers (but not by much) with that stroker power that you want under the curve.

That's awesome man! You'd be near 500rwhp through a manual! And that's on stock LT1 castings!
