Adjusting the rockers (engine running method)
Adjusting the rockers (engine running method)
Hey guys i have a rocker that has developed a tick, im hoping the rocker has just backed off. I have a question when adjusting them using the engine running method can i adjust just that rocker, or do i have to do them all? Thanks for the help.

Im pretty sure you can do just that one rocker, just wait until the valve is all the way closed and give it a little tighten. Or you can loosen it up and retight it to whatever valve lash.
Re: Adjusting the rockers (engine running method)
Yes you can do one or all...
When I do then running I take a fold of newspaper or cardboard to catch the oil thats going to be tossed around...
Form a U shape a few inches high that slips inside the rim of the head on the lower side, and up a few inches on each end..
Makes a lot less mess that way..
