adjusted roller rockers, rockers still move?

I adjusted my roller rockers today, tightning them down till zero lash and 1/2 a turn afterwards but I am still able to move the rockers with my hand to side to side, is this okay? They are 1.6 pro mag .. they are self aligning and the springs are comp 987. Should they be able to move like this?

This is normal, they will move side to side, but shouldn't have any play up and down if the lifters are pumped up.
How did you determin that you were at "zero lash"

While tightning the rocker arms in sequence, I jiggled the push rods up and down till they wouldn't move up and down anymore and stop tightning the rocker arms immediately after the push rod had no play left, and gave it a 1/2 a turn afterwards.

Not sure up and down is the right way, I spin the pushrod and tighten the nut until I feel the tension grab the pushrod, that's zero lash, but your prob pretty close. Then tighten 1/2 turn.

I will go back over them in sequence and try that .... but won't the push rods still spin because the hydraulic lifters are not pumped up yet?

or for a little higher r.p.m. adjust to zero lash and go 1/8 of a turn.

Even if the lifters aren't pumped up you will feel the tension fronn the spring in the lifter, give it a try, it's easy after the first one.

I would only go 1/8 (or less) past zero as well. If they are Comp R lifters, this is a MUST.

I agree with SDAKOVIC
