What Injuneer said. Also (for those of you running Lt1edit) you can apply the BLM locker and gain complete control of WOT tuning with your AFPR.

OK I conceed injuneer owns this thread
Be that as it may though, if your stock FPR fails and a new stock one costs more than an AFPR, what would you do?

Seems like a no brainer to get an adjustable one if the stock part costs more. Also, see my point above. You can have control of your WOT af/ratio if you apply a BLM locker via Lt1edit.

go ahead and get the adjustable one, it won,t hurt and in the future if you need it it will already be there.
I know I can,t gain any long term gains from it but I may need it when I rebuild the motor and buy LT1 edit.

....so what your saying is that an AFPR is basically useless!!! To tune the A/F ratio you have to go in the PCM, correct? Any adjustment on the regulator is only temporary until the PCM adjusts to the changes made in effect cancelling out the AFPR changes!

My purpose is not to "OWN" the thread, nor to embarass anyone, nor put anyone down. My purpose is simply to provide what I believe to be accurate information on how things work, particularly when I see a thread headed in the wrong direction, or posts containing some information that isn't correct.

Posting the "owned" comment simply causes hard feelings and other issues.

was ment to be in a hard feelings way at all, you simply owned the thread with knowledge amd set everything straight basically with one post. You clarified all missconceptions about the AFPR and let the thread starter understand fully (along with others) what an AFPR will do for them on there 94+ Fbodys with stock programing. by turning the thread around in my opinion you did indeed own the thread

To some of us (maybe those over 30, I don't know) the phrase "owned" conjures up a kid pissing on a Ford sticker, flashing emergency lights after a street race, or other such juvenile heroics, as opposed to your definition of providing educated input to a discussion.

Could just be that I need a better dictionary, but that's the context I've generally seen used.

Sorry for the non-LT1 content.
