lol yeah our cars being high compression dont care for boost much, but they love nitrous! tuning a force fed car can be a nitemare in itself

Hey guys, ill post my question on the forced induction forum now, but i was wondering how come i would need a rebuild just for putting the turbo?

And i wanted to spray the n20 along with the turbo but i guess having a turbo with the high compression camaros is bad huh?

Oh and Antz where can i find the heads and cam package u were describing on on top?

Thanx again.

FYI, for those who don't know, Texlurch has been running twin turbos on his LT1(stock pistons) powered 68 for quite some time with no problems

You want a turbo and you wanna put nitrous on it???? Turbo's don't go to well on a stock motor because they're already a high compression motor...you go to throwing 8, 10, 12 or more PSI of boost they tend to fly apart...I've seen a couple destroyed because of it. I'd just squeeze a little juice if I were you.

Turbo Technology offers a complete turbo kit for the LT1 f-body. They have 4.5 and 6 psi kits.

That's at 11.5 to 12 pounds of boost

And they said those diesel turbos would never spool

If you keep the boost at reasonable levels, then you won't need a rebuild... at least not as soon. All NA engines are like that, and someone pushing 8-12 psi on a stock motor is doing just that, pushing their luck. 4-6 pounds should be fine.

I think you should get the car first and start out at a slower pace, instead of tossing on a turbo and nitrous kit. What's your hurry? These are things you need to research and plan. You'll need to upgrade alot of stuff to feed the engine, not to mention the broken parts from all the power.
