acceptable compression numbers on a test

i have a problem and that is cyl #2 is running insanely lean

checked the injector today and its clean, it sprays as it should.

Did a compression test on the cylinder and i saw 125psi..... from what im reading lt1s are usually quite higher????

i have not checked the other cylinders yet for compression nor have a pulled the valve cover off yet to check rockers/springs... there is no valvetrain noise at all.... Anyone have any ideas for me to try?

Re: acceptable compression numbers on a test

I guess typical would be about 175psi. A couple of questions:
1) do you plan to test the other cylinders? You should see no more than a 10% difference between them.

2) did you run the compression test with the throttle wide open? A closed throttle will give a low value.

3) have you considered doing a leakdown test done? It might help figure where the issue is....

no i did it just by pulling coil wire and turning it over, i will test others in the am with the throtle wide open. only thing im possibly thinking is that maybe two wires are crossed.... im thinking it could be 2 and 8 seeing there right next to eachother on the opti cap.... im trying my damn'dist to get this bad boy fixed.

How can you tell the #2 is the only cylinder running lean?
