Accel DFI gen 7 ?s

I have a 94 LT1 355 built motor and I am going to be purchasing this stand alone computer. Anybody have any experience with this system, I heard it performs very well. I also heard that I will loose the stock gauges???? (or not). I am going to be advancing my cam and I know the stock computer is very limited in doing this, that is why I am purchasing it. Let me know some personal experience you all have had with this system!

Thanks Mark Tisdale

btw any for sale that you all need to get rid of???

What is your objective?
How radical are you wanting to go to where you think the stock computer cant keep up?
How big of a cam are you going with?

Well I am going to degree cam to aleast 106, and run a bigger grind cam. The computer will get very confused with this combination, and it will be hard to tune. Also, spin the motor to about 67000,6800, not too sure yet.

The factory PCM is capable of 7200rpms. Youd be surprised as to how big of a cam you can tune the factory PCM to work with.
Why are you wanting such a short LSA??
Lowest LSA ive seen on EFI is a 110

Re: Accel DFI gen 7 ?s

I have been racing the LT1s now for 10 years. My cam is a solid roller 264/272 @ .050 with .605/.609 lift and is ground at 108 and installed at 104.
I still use the stock computer programed by Ed Wright. My car runs 10.20s with a 1.32 60'.
