Ac Issue
Ac Issue
When I turn on my ac and drive in stop and go traffic, my temp gets up to the red. I have my fans bypassed to turn on when I turn on my ignition. Also, is my resivoir/drier supposed to be hot when my ac is on? Why is it getting hot? Any replies are appreciated.

The dryer should be cold. If you are in a humid climate, it will sweat. Does your AC blow cold all the time?
Sounds like your cooling system is marginally working. If it is on the verge of working/not workig, the additional strain the AC puts on the cooling system might put you over the edge in traffic. Check your coolant level and be sure your pump is circulating fluid.
Also, get down and look under the front of your car at the radiator. I have had debris (most recently an ice bag) get sucked up under my car, partially blocking the radiator, and that would make my car run hot in traffic but would be OK on the freeway.
