ABS Q. switching to 8.5" rear

i just bought a 8.5" rear off a 3rd gen with 4:10's and strange axles.

it doesn't have the ABS sensor, will that mess up the front abs?
can i pull the light and forget about it or do i have to pull the entire abs system?

if i pull the entire system what do i need to replace it? i'm running on a fairly tight budget and need to do this as cheap as possible for now.

question 2.
it has a limited slip rear, can i use the posi from my old 10bolt?
what kind of hp. will the limited slip hold up to and for how long?

thanks,
mike

Dude when you figure out how to make it the 4th gen width please let me know! Are you sure its an 8.5 like the ones on the GN's???

Oh yeah the diff will not work from your 7.5 they are different. The 8.5 is a fairly stout rear and would be a much better choice for a 4th gen then the stock. Thats why I ask if you are sure it is an 8.5 I do not believe they came stock on 3rd gens there are custom setups for 3rd gens but they are different width then the 4th or I may have bought one by now.
