I thought that number was soley based on those who ordered them and not a cut off? I think it was an option at that point.

I briefly considered ordering a 1LE when I ordered my '94. My salesman buddy talked me out of it. There was a day when I could recount all of the differences. I seem to recall suspension upgrades and no air conditioning. They were pretty spartan. I'm not sure about the engine & exhaust.

dude dont waste ur money on a showroom car... u want a driver not a showroom queen... get a lightly modded z28....

If you want a driver, don't waste your money on something that might be more rare and cost you more. Once you put a lot of miles on it, it won't be worth much more than the run of the mill Z. If you are going to drive it occasionally, keep it stock and garaged and have the extra money, then it might be worth it.
A 1LE is just not that much different to demand a premium.
