Question About $500 coming to me.. What to do next???

I got an insurance check coming to me.. should I get some added body mods such as maybe a hood, spolier, or a body kit... or some more mods. maybe some gears.. sub frames.. something of that line... maybe the lt4 hot cam kit...

what would YOU do if you had the car in sig with same mods????

Hotcam kit if you don't want to go big with a cam. 4.10s would be a nice gain also. If you can do the work go with the cam...if not gears.

Gears are a nice add on and if you can find the right place to put them in for you, you can stay within the money range you need. You can also look into some sway bars if you want. Sub-frames from bmr are another good choice. It all depends on the way you use your car performance wise. I mean do you just run it on the street , strip, or track?

I'm mostly on the street but once or twice a year I go to the track. I want the performance though.. I'm thinking maybe some gears (I got a shop that can do em) or maybe 1 inch lowerin springs and new shocks all around... choices choices....

A y-pipe. But you'll see more gain from susspension mods then with anything else (other then N20)

I'd go bilstein hd's all the way around for 295shipped from zimmer bmw and a 32mm used front sway bar off ebay or board member ($75-100)
Or do the sway bar and get LS1 brakes.

Those mods right there will transform your car. I love the LS1 brakes even though i originally wanted C5's, and I love the bilsteins and sway bar. Much more satisfying mods for that price range than anything else i put on the car.. Hooker long tubes for 511 bucks rival them though.

Where as you could get a ypipe with a cat and gain 5hp or without a cat and gain 10hp... but you'd barely feel it.

Go with the hotcam kit, decent gain for the money as long as you install yourself or get help from someone to do it. Your car would easily be a 12 second car then with traction. I plan on doing the hotcam kit over the winter if you want to watch me do it so you know how to do it for your car

Hell, I probably wouldn't mind throwing both in at the same time, like I said though, mine is gonna be a winter project since the camaro won't be on the road anyway. Maybe we can work something out and that would be cool if Geoff was around too to make sure I don't screw anything up...
