About $3000 to spend..

So.. i have a 3.23 rear and a granatelli 255lph fuel pump. Everything else is in sig. My goal for when i did everything to my car was mid/low 12's. Im not close at all.

I need to buy..
Ram HD clutch: $800ish(?)
New opti/gaskets: $300ish
phb and lca's: say $400
Im trying to find a set of salad shooters and new tires so say 500$ for that.
Everytime i went to the track my clutch was going out and it was on crappy tires. So with doing all that, what else should i be looking at to do? I was thinking some spray but i dont know much about it/buying it. Any way to see some mid/low 12's without the spray. Thanks for any help.

Okay, so it looks like you have another $1000 to spend, once you've bought your clutch, opti, PHB, LCAs, and wheels. I think $400 is a fair bit higher than you'll pay for the PHB and LCAs (more like $250), so you should have some left over for sales tax, shipping, and the ubiquitous "little things you forgot".

Nitrous might be the way to go. Hop over to the N20 forum and ask what you can do to shave a second off your setup for a grand. You should be able to put together a pretty nice system for that price.

Better gears, too. 3.73's will make a big difference. Is there a reason you went with 3.23's?

Ram clutch is a little cheaper than $800 I believe.

Re: About $3000 to spend..

I learned from my first project that things are way more expensive then you think. Thats why i kinda bumped everything up.

I bought a rear with 3.23's instead of putting gears in my old rear. If i did gears it would be 4.11's though.

I know a 150 shot would be the best bang for the buck but i was wanting mid 12's n/a.
