A4 -> M6 Kit Where to buy?

I have called Lamberts & Billy Grahams which were listed in Alex's conversion writeup ang neither had any. SpeedAutomotive doesn't appear to be around anymore, so I was wondering if anyone had any info on where to get a kit? My auto is dying a slow death and will need to be replaced in the next couple of months. I was planning on just replacing the auto with a rebuilt one from LT1Dave and selling the car, but I'm having second thoughts on getting rid of it. If I keep it I would like to go to a M6 especially for the better MPG as the 3200 stall & 3.73's guzzle the gas bigtime, but if the tranny goes before I can find a kit, I'll just have to get a rebuilt A4. If anyone has any leads let me know.

Check on eBay for different parts you'll need for the conversion. T56s go for decent prices and you can usually find the other needed parts. Even try this message board.

I checked the here first and the prices just the M6 is going for on ebay are crazy.

Anyway if anyone knows where I can pick up a complete kit from let me know.

What did they charge you and what was missing that you needed?

Also I dont know why anyone would want to trade for my A4 as the overrun gears are gone and it slips right to the rev limiter if much more than 1/2 throttle is applied and definatly needs a rebuild. I will have a nice Yank TC for sale to help offset the A4-M6 swap cost though.

They charged me 1600 shipped...They got me everything I needed after alot of phone calls. First they sent me just the transmission bellhousing and pedals. I called them then they sent me 1/2 of the other things I was missing. then after a few more all the parts finally came in. hope this helps

www.sixonthefloor.com A little expensive but you get everything you need, including the little stuff (like new console, etc.) and a rebuilt tranny. Check em out.

You could try this:

http://www.car-part.com/

But there isn't much to be had that is cheap. Most trannies seem to go around 1200, then you've got the rest of the stuff to get.

So what does sixonthefloor charge for a kit?

Thanks JANNY, I'll have to give a few of those places a call.

From what I understand speedautomotive is now Tennessee Auto Parts. They have the Tranny kit (93-97 and 98-02) and 98+ front end swap here.

Thanks for all the leads guys!

I wouldn't mind paying the price sixonthefloor wants if it came with a decent clutch, but I'm betting that its just a stocker... I'm not sure what I'd really need though, as I wont be at the track with it but a few times a year if at all. What are the stock clutches good for? Last dyno I did was before the better tuning that I have now and a few mods and I netted 335 rwhp, so I know that just by going to the M6 I would pick up some more. I was thinking on getting a Spec Stage III what doy you guys think?

Spec stage IV ceramic. Same as the stage III but you don't have to worry about blowing springs out of the disc because the hub isn't sprung. Believe me, ive pulled my t56 enough times not to want to do it again for the same reason.
