A4 or M6
A4 or M6
I have sold the z in my sig and am now on the hunt for another lt . The problem is a4 or m6 the car will be a street/ now n then drag car , basically getting on it from lights and open straight aways on the streets . Would a stalled a4 be any slower then an m6 going heads up with each other ?? any advice or opinions please chime in as i cant make a decision im willing to go with either , the only thing is im in the process of learning manual with a buddys car im afraid ill end up in some1's living room perfecting a manual in my own m6
Manuals are a lot more fun imo, but I think A4s do better in the 1/4 which you dont seem too concerned about.
If you have to deal with traffic on a daily basis you may also consider the automatic.
But the manual is one strong tranny and youll get better gas mileage
They are tough to find nowadays..

Family situation forced me to sell it, it was sold a while ago now sometime this year i plan on buying another one . Is the m6 quicker off the line compared to a stalled a4 ?? i liked the feel of an a4 but i can see a m6 getting tiring in traffic etc , it will rarely be used on the strip if at all , the car will not be a daily either . I am looking for quickness off the line on the streets and mid-range power on the streets im just ify on driving a manual at this point, im still learning and i kinda dont think a lt would be the car for a noob like me whose not to leet at driving a stick any similar situations please chime in
thanks in advance

And as far as learning to drive stick. It really doesnt matter what car you drive. Just dont floor it and pop it. Just be easy and smooth with it. The clutches on these cars are very forgiving with all the torque behind it, I never stall mine.
I know some people who bought the automatic just because they wanted to have a fast car then and now and didnt wait for a manual, and then were kicking themselves in the butt because of it a month afterwords.
The manuals are also good for those on the fly revs when you see a cute chicky on the side of the road
I have driven a few sports cars here and there and ended up buying my Z/28 with a M6 when it came time.
Personally I think they are a heck of alot more fun to drive. I like being in control of the car as opposed to "kinda along for the ride". They have their perks and they have their down falls thats for sure.
I would say given equal cars go m6 its alot more fun for a street car, and driving in traffic is not that bad. Plus, it forces you to pay more attention to the road which is always a good thing.

from my experience this past weekend you should go for the M6, simply cuz its so fun to drive. I borrowed my bro's M6 94Z with just ripper shifter, cai, and exhaust and its so much fun to drive around town and cruising on the highway @1500 rpms in 6th is awsome. well my bro brought my car back(cammed/stalled) yesterday and i must say that my feels like a POS compared to his. but then again my car is running like a POS right now. if i would buy another car id go for an M6, then go H/C.
I would go m6. My Z is so much fun to drive even when im in traffic. Also, I can keep it in 5th or 6th for good gas mileage. My cousin has a cammed 95 A4 z28 and he wishes he had my near stock Z just because its a manual.
what about racing from a roll. how does lets say a 3600 and 4.10 geared A4 stand up against a 4.10 geared M6? assuming both had the same other mods what do you think the outcome would be. i have heard that a stalled auto is a whole different story from a roll vs a stock.. but is it still enough??
i have an a4, and theres times where i would love a m6 just because of the fun factory. But then i remember, mine is slightly faster at the track where it counts
