97 z rims on a 92 jimmy 4x4 ?

I am going on a canoe trip and don't really have time to put new tires on my jimmy. The camaro is down with a blown trans and has goodyear eagle F-1 GS 245-50-zr16's on it. The rims are the stock 5 star. Will they fit on my jimmy with LT235-75-r15? Will the rims handle the extra weight?

The rims will handle the weight just fine. I'm not sure about this, but you may have to use a dremel and grind on the brake hubs to get the whells to fit on the back. I know this had to be done to my car to get the wheels from a '97 Z on it.

you will be fine..i bolted some salad shooters on my S10 when the tires were shot on it Worked pretty good, and it looked damn funny with 2 salad shooters on the back.

GM changed the hub size in either 96 or 97 so those rims and salad shooters arent the same.
