97 motor and pcm swap to 95 motor w/ pcm?

Question 97 motor and pcm swap to 95 motor w/ pcm?

i bought a 97 camaro with no motor trns. started to build a motor knowing it was a 95. idecided to swap out the pcms and harnesses.should the old pcm and harness be used to make this work??? give me some ideas

95 motor, PCM/harness should work fine.

Use the harness for the car you have. The engine and body harnesses will plug together but the wires are not all in the same spots in the connectors. You can use either pcm with the harness just make sure you have the correct knock sensor in the block for the pcm you're using.

You can find any differences in the charts on my Tech Page. Very little is different.

If the 97 once had a LT-1 in it, just use that wiring and PCM.

Like Rob said, 95/PCM/Engine harness should be fine. Rob differences in the Dash harness that may affect him?
