97 lt1 won't rev past 3000 rpm help........
Just recently replaced opti(ac delco Re-man) ,crankshaft sensor,egr valve, and egr solenoid. It ran fine for a couple weeks then, I was trying to pass someone and it would not go past 3000rpm. Even at idle. I can hold the rpms to 2500 and no back firing or missing that I can here. It runs fine as long as I don't push it. Its also not running hot. Anyone have any ideas on what it could be?

What problems were you having that caused you to replace all those parts? Same one that has returned after the replacements?
At any point have you scanned it for codes and checked the fuel pressure with the engine under load, at 3,000 RPM?
Does the car still have cats? Have you checked for a plugged cat?
