96 z28 camaro mutiple cylinder misfire.

96 z28 camaro with lt1 engine it has error code p101. it has to do with the MAF sensor. It also has multiple cylinder misfires.. it has new plug and wires on it. could the MAF sensor cause the cylinder misfires. please help!!!!! not sure what else to do..

The maf sensor can be causing the misfires. My friends truck ran the same code and had misfires. He changed the sensor and they both went away. Change it and see if it helps.

P0101 = Mass air flow system rationality.

The PCM is comparing the MAF sensor indicated air flow to the mass air rate calculated using the speed-density method, and the difference is more than 40% at low engine loads or more than 25% at high engine loads.

First step would be to clean the MAF sensor with the correct MAF cleaner, clear the code, and see if it comes back. You can clear the code by pulling the "PCM BAT" fuse for 30 seconds.

thanks for ya'lls help.. i cleaned u maf sensor but it still didn't work but i then put a new one on it fixed all of my problems with the misfires.. thanks again.
