96 LT1 z28 ... what should it idle at?
just wondering what the normal idle is for my car - it currently idles around 1000 rpm, but i just wanna check and see what you guys idle at.

It should idle at 800 when fully warmed up. Stock tachs are usually off a little bit, so it may look like it's idling at 1000, or it may not be warm enough.

Only way to really check is to put a scanner on it, and read the RPM directly from the PCM.

car is missing while idling and a little bit on deceleration ... no other time though - could it be IAC?
