96 LT1 Cam swap

Wut up fella's

I have a 96 LT1 that I am installing LE2 head, cam and intake pakage on..I helped with the swap on my 95 YEARS ago..wasn't that bad since we pulled engine out, BUT the 96 has that CPS in the timing cover and I want to run the cloyed timing set. My question is would it be better for me to run a 94-95 front cover and in running that cover do I need new Crank Hub, and in that...would I also need new balancer..and 94-95 Keyway or will Keyway come with new 94-95 hub...(whatever a keyway is ) OR...could I just run the LT4 ED chain and have no issues at all with clearing the CPS. I have a electric waterpump so I was trying open up my timing chain options....help on this matter would be appreciated..TIA

Peace

you can't use a 94 cover....those aren't for vented opti's. i have no worthy information on the cam position sensor though, sorry.

Run the ED timing set and be done with it. There is one for sale
on the board with the oversized crank gear for $200. Brand new!

Werd...just double checking right quik...You CAN run the ED chain with the electric pump right?? I saw the one for sale...I guess I am in denial on just running that one...because I just sold one for 150 to my friend when I bought the electric water pump from Sniffin94 on the board here
