96 camaro wont start

96 camaro wont start

i just bought a 96 camaro and it ran great until sunday night it wouldn't start i thought that it was the starter but i boosted it with another car and it started but now the fuel pump wont turn on and neither will the nash light or gauges unless you really play with the key than the gauges will light up but still wont start

the battery is fine i took it out and put one in that i know that works and it didnt do anything i think that it may be the ignition switch but not to sure

no security light is not on but it was set off before all of this happened and that box under the dash on the passenger side keeps ticking

Does the security light blink when you turn the key to try and start the car?

If it was set off before it stop turning on, I might say it has something to do with the Vats System. I had sort of the same problem on my 94 Z28. My ignition went bad, so the chip key wasn't sending the signal to the Vats. Which in turn, would not let me turn on the Camaro.

if the chip is not working will all the gauges not work and the fuel pump not come on if so thats what im dealing with

the camaro lives again after all that it was a ground in that little box just behind the battery cleaned that up and good to go
